this module, we will look at the Active Directory Schema.
It will cover the reason and purpose for using a Schema,
what Classes and Attributes are, how the Schema is modified
and how to create and modify a new class or attribute.

to Active Directory
This
module will introduce the Active Directory, including how
information is stored in the Active Directory Database,
the components of Active Directory, Replication, basic trust
relationships and Active Directory Naming Conventions.

Authentication
In
this module we will look at how access to resources is controlled
under the Windows 2000 operating system. This includes network
authentication, permissions and how authorizations and other
security mechanisms are used.

Managing
Active Directory
In
this module we will look at the basic concepts of managing
the active directory. We will cover how to find Active Directory
Objects, control access to Active Directory Objects, how
to publish a resource in the Active Directory, how to move
Objects in the Active Directory and how to delegate control
when administrating the active directory.

In
this module we will look at sites and how they are used
to configure the physical layout of your active Directory
installation.

Zone
Replication
In
this module we will cover zone replication and transfer
including the purpose of zone transfers, how zone transfer
works, DNS notification, how to setup zone transfer and
notification on the master DNS server.

Zones
This
module will cover DNS zones and how they are configured.
It will also cover zone types, the benefits of using Active
Directory integrated zones, zone delegation and how zones
are configured

Resolution
This
module will cover the name resolution process.

Active Directory
This
module will cover how to install Active Directory using
the Active Directory Installation Wizard.

Active Directory
This
module will cover the design of a directory structure including
the basics of planning a domain structure, how a domain
namespace is used in the Active Directory, the steps to
planning an Organizational Unit and how to plan a site structure.

Computers Snap-in
In
this module we will look at the Active Directory Users and
Computers Snap In. This module will cover the basic layout
of the Active Directory Users and Computers Snap-in, how
to add a new object to the active Directory, how to create
a new user Account, and how to create an Organizational
Unit.
